A paradise for pastry lovers—freshly made before your eyes! The almond croissant is my favorite. Tucked away in an industrial estate, this hidden gem is totally worth the find.
I should says it's rubbish to stop people buying the last danish I've been eyeing up, but that would be a complete disservice. I grew up locally but now live in the North and having been told about the bakery a while ago by my family I finally got a chance to visit (having even read about it in "Britain's Best Bakeries" book) It was not a disappointment. The variety of bakes available is immense, the taste is worthy of the best I've previously had, the concept is epic to support those wanting skills to grow themselves, and you can even sit and watch in the cafe as they roll pastries, and knead dough (an amazing experience for both adults and kids, who are in awe). And to top it all off, the staff are so informative and friendly, happily explaining the bakes. So in short, definitely go and visit, but please don't buy the last danish I'm looking at.
What a gem. Stumbled across this when walking Thames Path (they need to put a sign up)…. Had lovely tea and best croissant ever. Staff were so nice and friendly. Defo recommend if walking Thames Path and in need of refreshments. Thank you.

Beautiful bakery with incredible concept! We went in the weekend so it was quite busy but had a lovely time! The baked goods were great and the bread was amazing too! The bread was a bit burned on the bottom but the flavour was exquisite ! It would be lovely if there are warm breads coming out as we were there so that we would have bought more of then as well :)! Having more than one toilet will help as well.
We hired the mezzanine area at Proof Bakehouse for a private party this Christmas. The space is warm, bright and run by an excellent team. Communication around the booking was fantastic from start to finish, which made planning completely stress-free. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. A special mention to Ruta, who was an absolute joy to deal with. She and the team were so lovely, going above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Their warmth genuinely made the event feel extra special. The range of pastries were delicious and the coffee was equally a hit with our guests. They also serve a nice range of alcoholic drinks. A brilliant venue with an amazing team behind it. I couldn’t recommend Proof Bakehouse highly enough for hosting an event!

Since our first visit they have renovated it is such a lovely little hidden gem! Loads of seating kind welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The best almond croissant I've ever had! And really good coffee! I've bought some beers today assuming they will also be as good as everything else here. Amazing eclectic cafe with flavourful baked goods and tasty coffee. The cafe is very colourful and near the Thames walking path. Go to have a chat with a friend or a walk with a loved one. Get the cinnamon roll!!!
